To start preparing for this look your hair can be wet or dry. I prefer starting from scratch with your hair being wet. Brush and part your hair the way you would like it to be. Then blow-dry hair straight.
After you are done blow-drying your hair part it into a few sections. Starting from the bottom and eventually working your way up through your layers. Starting from the bottom, grab a handful of hair and go over it with the straightener. Do this repeatedly until you are done with that section. After that drop the next layer of hair and repeat this until you have done each layer.
